Genetically, Black Opium is a mix of Afghan Indica with Brazilian Sativa, with a small addition of Colombian Sativa Landrace, which is responsible for the blue and purple accents in the colouration of these plants.

The high concentration of essential oils and terpenes also gives the plant outstanding resistance to insect pests and fungal diseases. Properties

During the vegetative period, Black Opium plants stand out for their dynamic and healthy development compared to other crops. The structure of the plants is highly branched with a moderate canopy, and the strong root system successfully adapts to any substrate. Before the flowering phase, the plants resemble a dense green jungle. Slightly narrowed, pointed leaves remind of the Colombian ancestor of this fast-flowering variety. In outdoor conditions, mature plants reach 165 cm in height, while in indoor cultivation, they reach around 100-140 cm. The aromatic bouquet becomes noticeable during the vegetative phase in the form of fruity sweetness. As the plants approach maturity, the scent around the plants is enriched with notes of cherries, elderflower, and musk. When the temperature drops, the flowers and leaves take on elegant purple, blue, and violet hues.
