Sudanese Hemp is an incredibly nutritious plant, rich in protein. In its natural habitat, Sudanese hemp is a wild variety. In the climatic conditions of Eastern Europe, this variety is particularly productive and hardy.

During cultivation, Sudanese hemp is characterised by slow development during the vegetative phase, which requires special attention from the grower. The root system extends to a depth of about 3 metres and the stalks are between 1 and 3 metres high. The most suitable soil for cultivation is black soil or chestnut soil. These plants do not do well in swampy soils.
The price of Sudanese hemp varies depending on the supplier. Interestingly, direct supplies from Sudan are not always cheaper. When ordering seeds, it is important to check reviews from other buyers to avoid fakes or inferior products.
Uses
Sudanese hemp is an ideally balanced source of nutrients for livestock. Porridge made from these seeds and baked goods made from hemp flour have been popular with people in India and China since ancient times. Sudanese hemp is rich in antioxidants and has enormous medicinal potential: it normalises blood sugar levels, slows down ageing processes, stabilises the body’s hormonal background and increases haemoglobin levels in the blood.
